With Valentine’s Day coming and going this week, I’ve been feeling inspired to share a few ideas for how to incorporate more of the holiday into your wedding. Incorporating love, as in Cupid’s love, into your big day can be tasteful and very, very sweet.
- Reds and pinks
Incorporating the colors of love into every little aspect of your wedding ignites the feeling of romance that accompanies Valentine’s Day. Dress your bridesmaids in light shades of pink or a bolder red, and incorporate the same shades into your flowers, tablescapes and décor. Red roses are the perfect way to marry a romantic floral and color, and are extremely versatile in ways they can be used.
- Hearts and arrows
From stationary to the cake display, you can really go as big as your heart desires in this area. Heart designs can be incorporated into your save-the-dates, invitations and you can use heart-shaped floral displays at your venue for a more dramatic effect. Bows and arrows are a more rustic way to add a little flair, and can be fun props for a photo booth.
- Candies and chocolate
Valentine’s Day isn’t complete without chocolate. Incorporate candy stations with all of your favorite Valentine’s candy like Sweethearts, heart-shaped sweet tarts, and chocolate truffles. If you’re having a sit-down meal or just appetizers, have hor d’oeuvres trays with chocolate covered strawberries and tall glasses of champagne to complete the look.
