Fall is one of my favorite times of year. With the new season beginning to come in full swing, new trends are sweeping in the place of the old. Some of the trends are being replaced with new, fresh sentiments, matching the crisp feel of the cooler weather.
- Boho
The bohemian trend has been having a major moment, but it seems to finally be on its way out. Flower crowns are definitely at the top of the list. Instead, ceremonies are taking a step toward the more traditional; in décor, venue, food and style.
- Cupcake Towers
Although bite-sized desserts are convenient, and can be really stylish, traditional wedding cakes are coming back. Layers upon layers of cake are taking the place of cupcakes, hand pies, and other bite-sized sweets.
- Pastels
Pastels are a gorgeous option, I think for spring; but autumn calls for a richer color palette. Shades of plum, oxblood and even hints of copper are all the rage.
- Heavy Makeup
Rather than having the bride with a face full of heavy-duty makeup, many more are going for a much more natural look. I love this trend, because there’s nothing worse than having a bride look anything than like herself on her wedding day. You should play up your best features, and leave off the heavy foundation.
- Structured bouquets
Instead of very formal, roundly shaped bouquets, more free-formed florals are in for bouquets and centerpieces. Think loose, unstructured and an abundance of greenery surrounding the florals.
