John Axley and Page Druce were married on Saturday, April 9th at the beautiful, secluded estate of Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina. The Montage resort at Palmetto Bluff perfectly captured the essence of history, nature and culture that Page and John wanted incorporated into their day. Palmetto Bluff’s Waterside Chapel overlooking the May River was the backdrop to a serene ceremony, with a surprise Gullah choir to escort the newly married couple to the tented lawn reception among the Wilson Mansion ruins.
The wedding design was a combination of vintage and modern, with mixed china place settings, sailcloth tent and café lights, as well as bright, vibrant blooms, and modern art canvas paintings, which hung on boxwood walls, serving as the backdrop for the band.
It was a pleasure to work with John and Page, and I am honored to have this wedding featured in the fall issue of Inside Weddings.
